Summary

This position is a contingent/PRN position that will work on the Medical Surgical Acute Care team and/or potential for inpatient Rehab team as needed. Employee filling this position will be scheduled on an as needed basis.

Responsibilities*

To evaluate and treat patients with diseases, injuries, disorders and disabilities, to relieve pain, develop or restore function and maintain maximum performance, using physical modalities and exercise as prescribed by a physician.

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or basic MS or DPT degree
  • Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Program and Clinical Internship 
  • Prior Acute Care experience 
  • Demonstrated proficiency in patient treatment 
  • Possession of a current State license to practice physical therapy in Michigan 

Desired Qualifications*

  • Masters or DPT degree in physical therapy

Work Schedule

Schedule may include both weekend and weekdays.  

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act.
