This role is hybrid with on-site expectations in Ann Arbor, MI. You will occasionally work during early mornings, nights, or weekends. Travel is required. Purpose:
As the Associate Director of DEI and Admissions, you will be a member of the Full-Time MBA Admission Committee. You will report directly to the Senior Associate Director of FTMBA Admissions. You will support the design, execution, and evaluation of outreach and recruitment programs, focused on candidates from underrepresented backgrounds in business education. Your goal is to attract the next generation of world class leaders to the Michigan Ross MBA program. You will represent Michigan Ross at events throughout the world.

Responsibilities*

  • You will review applications for admission and financial aid.
  • Implement strategies to recruit and yield applicants with an emphasis on those historically underrepresented in top MBA programs.
  • You will coordinate activities in partnership with the admissions committee diversity leads.
  • You will be a trusted advisor to underrepresented minority (URM) applicants through their admissions process.
  • You will enhance yield by evaluating the effectiveness of admissions and recruitment programs.
  • Support signature admissions events including interview weekends, visitation days, and admitted student weekends.
  • Establish partnerships with student leaders, while fostering an inclusive and engaging culture.
  • You will implement a student engagement strategy, taking into consideration the student and faculty perspective.
  • Create opportunities and manage processes to engage prospective students.
  • Maintain relationships with alumni volunteers.
  • Ensure partners are aligned on the Michigan Ross Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy.
  • Report data to senior leadership.
  • You will contribute to our positive and inclusive work community.
  • You will demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion and treat others with respect.

Required Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of full cycle admissions experience with candidates from diverse backgrounds, or analogous experience in higher education or demanding talent environments; or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and developing detailed project plans.
  • Proficiency with data analysis and technology.
  • Experience working with faculty, staff, students and external partners.
  • Demonstrated experience with social community issues.
  • Demonstrated skills in delivering presentations.
  • You will travel, and work evenings or weekends.
  • You will travel up to 45 days per year.

Additional Information

The general salary range for this position is $68,000-$75,000. You can expect to be paid a great compensation package. Factors used to determine salary include experience, knowledge and skills for the position. You are encouraged to discuss salary questions to honor alignment and transparency throughout the recruiting process.
