Summary
The Department of Neurology has an opportunity available for a GME Specialist who assists, tracks, and organizes residency or fellowship related administrative activities through applying fundamental knowledge in conjunction with the Program Coordinator. May provide administrative support such as calendaring, meeting scheduling, and event planning related to program needs.
This position is 60% GME, 30% Non-ACGME training programs, and 10% clerkships.
Responsibilities*
GME task may consist of, but not limited to the following:
- Send out program evaluations
- Submit meal credits
- Prepare call schedule and input residency paging
- Help prepare recruitment documents
- Help prepare program Semi-Annual and Annual Support
- Monitor duty hours and send out reminders
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Non-ACGME training program task may consist of, but not limited to the following:
- Help prepare recruitment documents
- Provide administrative support to Non-ACGME training programs
Clerkship task may consist of, but not limited to the following:
- Help prepare orientation documents
- Help proctor medical student exams
Required Qualifications*
- Must possess demonstrated ability to take initiative, work independently, prioritize, manage multiple assignments with competing deadlines, and follow through on job responsibilities is necessary.
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal communication, and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy required.
- Strong office computing experience required; advanced skills with Microsoft Office applications highly desired.
- Proven ability to assess and handle highly sensitive and confidential matters required.
- Effective time management, problem-solving and analytical skills are necessary; the ability to consistently meet deadlines is essential.
Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act.
