Summary

The University of Michigan Shared Services Center (U-M SSC) is a customer service organization focused on providing user-friendly and cost-effective administrative services to the university community. The SSC offers key financial and human resource transaction services to customers.

Reporting to the Employment Process Supervisor, the EPC-I9 Intermediate Associate serves as a critical member of the Employment Processing Team. You will provide support for your assigned Regional I-9 Center and process all I-9 paperwork for university employees

Work Locations:

You are 100% on-site in Ann Arbor, MI. Student Activities Building (Central Campus), and Pierpont Commons (North Campus)

Responsibilities*

  • Provide 100% on-site, customer-facing services for I-9 and MCard processing during an 8 am - 5 pm working schedule, and for peak I-9 processing assistance
  • Process I-9 paperwork for new and existing employees
  • Process I-9 recertification, e-Verifications, remote I-9s, reciprocal I-9s
  • Use HR information management systems such as eRecruit and Mpathways, in addition to ticketing software such as TeamDynamix (TDX)
  • Monitor front door screening and entrance at the Shared Services Center and maintain visitor sign-in sheets (1 location)
  • The EPC-I9 Intermediate Associate may need to provide I-9 processing coverage to other regional I-9 sites across campus and may need to be available during the University of Michigan's Season Day Period (Dec. 26th to Dec. 31st) to complete critical employment transactions
     

Required Qualifications*

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience providing customer service 
  • Intermediate level proficiency with data entry and computer skills 
  • Basic knowledge of HR enterprise resource planning or database systems
