Responsibilities*

  • Utilizing medical record system (MiChart) to screen, recruit and capture participant data.
  • Data management (collect, record, and input hard and electronic study forms- data entry, and quality assurance)
  • Sample collection and shipment
  • Coordinating study visits/activities
  • Communicating with participants
  • Working with health care providers for recruitment
  • Serving as a resource and contact person for active protocols
  • Communicating and relaying data to entire study team
  • Reporting weekly on subject enrollment and progress in studies
  • Ensuring compliance with the protocol and adherence to Good Clinical Practice obligations

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Checks own work and confirms accuracy
  • Demonstrates ability to resolve simple queries
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft software applications
  • Ability to organize/prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently
  • Ability to set goals, promote teamwork and solve problems
  • Good attendance record

Training requirements: PEERRS, HIPPAA, CIT GCP,REDCap.  Gain appropriate training and knowledge of EMR, CTMS, EDC, databases, etc as assigned.  Willing to learn and use available technology and systems to accomplish job requirements.  Understands the disease process per program.  Attends and participates in all training classes assigned to this level.

Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
